Emerald Coast, FL - Just as race fans across the country start to feel the post-Speedweeks buzz kill, in comes the CLASH on the COAST to pick everyone right back up. IMCA Stock Cars, Sport Mods, and Modifieds invade Northwest Florida Speedway February 21st-23rd and Deep South Speedway February 26th-28th. Several teams from the MARC region are headed south to Clash.
Last year, one of the MARC region's drivers pulled off the Championship performance in the IMCA Stock Cars. Cedar Springs, Michigan's, Mike Vandermark, Jr finished second in the first race of the CLASH at Northwest Florida Speedway. The finish was a controversial three wide finish at the line, with many viewers at home feeling as though Vandermark had won. The next night, Vandermark left no question and drove his way to victory lane. He backed that performance up with a third and fourth place finish in two shows at Deep South Speedway to collect the Championship by just seven points over Iowa's Dallon Murty.
The 2025 IMCA Modified points were tight as well. Michigan's Austin Harnick had the points lead leaving Northwest Florida Speedway last year, winning both nights. Night number three of the CLASH proved to be the difference, posting a 14th place finish after transferring into the show from a B-Main. Harnick finished fifth in the final race of the series but fell short of the Championship by 13 points to Illinois' Austen Becerra.
