Shelby TWP, MI - For the last five years, Michigan's Andrew Bogusz has races Winged Sprint Cars with the Must See Racing Lights Series, which debuted in 2020 as an affordable, entry-level 602 crate engine division. The initiative had consistent support from a few drivers like Bogusz, but the number of drivers never grew to a respectable level, and at the conclusion of the 2025 season. Must See Racing announced that it was ending the Lights program moving forward, leaving Lights drivers with a decision to make.
For Bogusz, the path was partially mapped out thanks to the Tri-State Sprints Series. Designed to foster exciting competition with multiple car and tire combinations, the Series mixes 410 Sprints, Crates, SuperModifieds, and other combinations into one race. Entering the third season of racing, Tri State Sprints is likely to continue to gain the attention of low-budget teams and, like Bogusz, Crate Sprint teams who are looking for a new home.
Bogusz announced via social media that he plans to turn his attention to the Tri State Sprints in 2026. He brings with him a Must See Racing resume that includes seven feature wins since 2022 and 31 top-five finishes in 33 starts. Bogusz has also posted four career top 10 finishes with the Must See Racing National Tour.
The 2026 Tri State Sprints schedule will take Bogusz and others to Corrigan Oil Speedway, Kalamazoo Speedway, Anderson Speedway, Springport Mid-Michigan Speedway, Auto City Outdoor Event Center, Canada's Grand Bend Speedway, Birch Run Speedway, and Whittemore Speedway.
The upcoming season will take Bogusz international for more than just the Tri State Sprints visit to Grand Bend. Bogusz also announced that he plans to race with Grand Bend's bi-weekly V8 Sprint division. Currently, the schedules only show one conflicting date, with a race on July 4th for the Tri State Sprints and for Grand Bend. Bogusz currently has both events listed on his schedule.
Bogusz will begin his new season on Saturday, May 22nd with the Tri State Sprints at Corrigan Oil Speedway. Fans can follow Bogusz on nearly all social media outlets including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
