Butler Speedway Champions Decided with Help from Mother Nature

Quincy, MI - The end of the 2026 season for Butler Motor Speedway ended the same way it started. Much like the scheduled season opener back in May, heavy and persistent rains have forced officials with Butler to cancel the Championship Night of racing for Saturday, September 19th. As a result, several close championship battles were finalized without the teams unloading for the final time.

Heading into the weekend, the Pell's Tire Service 410 Sprint Car Championship was virtually wrapped up with Britton, Michigan's, Dan McCarron holding a 74-point lead over 2022 Track Champion, Josh Turner. McCarron's Championship season will end with a goose egg in the win column, but with the help of six top-five finishes and seven top-tens in 12 races, McCarron hoists the title.

Elsewhere, things were still up for grabs, including in the MAGA Lift DIRTcar UMP Modifieds, where defending Track Champion, Corey Bevard brought in just a 13-point lead over Manix Furqueron and a 15-point advantage over Robby Henderson. In a unique trend for the 2026 season, the driver with the most wins didn't win the title. Bevard's one win was good enough to secure the championship even though Furqueron and Henderson had two each. Dillon Nusbaum won the most features at Butler in 2026 with five.

The Elite General Contracting Street Stocks had just 17 points between young Jordan Hadley and Deuane Morley. Hadley captured his first and only career feature win earlier this year, which put his No.23 at the top of the standings. Kaleb and Jakob Wilber split the top of the wins list with four each.

Finally, the Oriole Automotive Four Cylinders crowned Chad Minnix as the Champion for the first time. A two-win season put him out in front of Bob Robinette by 79 points to close out the year. Cory Gumm, who finished third in Championship Points, racked up four wins this season.

The next event for Butler Motor Speedway is the 3rd Annual Butler Motor Speedway Swap Meet on Sunday, October 4th. Champions will be officially recognized on Saturday, November 21st.
