Hicksville, OH - The inaugural event for the IHRA Stock Car Series was held over the weekend at Pulaski County Motorsports Park. Of the 17 Pro Late Model entries was Ohio’s Avery Demland. The OneFive Motorsports frontwoman made the opening event of the season and accomplished the goals the team set before the event.

When races are scheduled in mid-March, it’s always a crapshoot on whether the event will go off as planned, and if teams will be ready to race. A week of hard work and preparation kept the No.15 on pace to attend the historic event in Virginia.

“Dad and I scrambled to get this car together,” Avery Demland said on the Horsepower Happenings Podcast. “He did an amazing job finishing it and getting it to the track.”

That was goal number one for OneFive Motorsports. Goal number two was to start the race and load the car in one piece, something else they accomplished on Saturday. Unofficially, Demland was scored 12th in the race after rolling from the 16th starting spot. While the car remained in one piece, a mechanical failure brought their night to an early end after 48 laps.

“Overall, for the first race with the series, everything was super smooth and super professional,” Demland recalled. “It wasn’t quite the finish we wanted, but our main goal was just to get there this weekend.”

The next event for Demland will be a return to the IHRA Stock Car Series on Saturday, April 18th at Cordele Motor Speedway. The trip to Cordele will mark a return to the site of Demland’s first career template Late Model event back in January of 2025 during the CRA Speedfest.

Demland and One Five Motorsports would like to thank One Five Apparel Company, Dynamic Drivelines, Oval Outlaw Performance, and MARCNews.org for their support of the 2026 season.
