Mt Pleasant Speedway Postpones Opener to Friday, May 1st

Mt Pleasant, MI - Officials with Mt Pleasant Speedway in northern Michigan announced on Monday afternoon that Friday's anticipated season opener would have to wait another week. Continued flooding and a poor weather forecast for Friday led to the decision to postpone the opener.

In a post on the Speedway's Facebook page, officials say that if conditions allow, they'll conduct an open practice on Saturday or Sunday for teams looking to test and tune before the season gets underway.

The season opener is a full show featuring IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, Pro Stocks, Crown Vics, and Mini Wedges. More information is available on the Mt Pleasant Speedway Facebook page.
