Muskegon, Michigan's Thunderbird Raceway Sold

MUSKEGON, MI - Former Thunderbird Raceway owner, Heidi Smith confirmed on Thursday that the facility has been sold. We understand a successful closing took place this morning/early afternoon. MARC News is working to gather additional details, including a statement from the new owners.

The Raceway announced in April that it would be closed for the 2026 season and was listed for sale earlier that spring. Winston Speedway owner, Andrew Heykoop announced in early September that he had interest in purchasing the property, but confirmed on Thursday that he did not purchase the race track.
