NASCAR's Ryan Newman, Daughter Brooklyn to Race Berlin Raceway May 16th

Marne, MI - Berlin Raceway officials announced Wednesday that former NASCAR star, Ryan Newman, and his daughter, Brooklyn Newman, will be racing together on May 16th in the Michigan Modified Series opener at Berlin Raceway.
At just 15 years old, Brooklyn Newman is already making waves in the world of racing. Currently, Brooklyn competes in Outlaw Dirt and Winged Micros at Millbridge Speedway, and 602 Modifieds with the SMART Modifieds.
For Ryan, he will make his Berlin Raceway return following a 3rd place finish with Superstar Racing Experience (SRX), when the series competed at the track in August of 2023. Ryan Newman, an 18-time Cup Series winner and Daytona 500 champion, will join Brooklyn in the 50-lap Modified feature event.
The Michigan Modified Series will headline the May 16th event at the track that will also include the Limited Late Models, National Compact Touring Series, and the Good Humor Mini Wedges. The Michigan Modified Series, new in 2026, is a multi-track championship series for Modified competitors, presented by both the Berlin Raceway & Owosso Speedway. The series brings together two iconic Michigan short tracks in a collaborative effort designed to elevate Modified competition across the region, featuring three events at Owosso Speedway and two at Berlin Raceway.
