Owosso, MI - Officials with Owosso Speedway have announced the addition of nationally recognized talent to their show scheduled for Wednesday, June 3rd. The event is headlined by the Race for the Million 410 Winged Sprint Cars along with support from the All-Star National Pavement Midget Series.
According to a post on the Race for the Million Facebook Page, NASCAR Cup Series standout and renowned open-wheel racer, Christopher Bell will pilot the Matt Seymour Racing No.29 with the All-Star National Pavement Midget Series. According to FloRacing, broadcast partner of the Race for the Million, Bell will also join the broadcast booth during the Winged Sprint Car portion of the show.
The All-Star National Pavement Midget Series is no stranger to big names. Last year in their Wednesday/Thursday Night Thunder events, names like Ken Shrader, Sammy Swindell, Kaylee Bryson, Ryan Newman, Ron Capps, Michael Lewis, and Tony Stewart all sat behind the wheel of the newest Midget division in the country.
Management at Owosso Speedway also announced that Ryan and Brooklyn Newman would be in attendance in June. It's not clear yet if they'll be behind the wheel of an All-Star National Pavement Midget Series car, or a Winged 410 Sprint Car.
The Race for the Million completed their first event back on April 10th at 5 Flags Speedway in Pensacola, FL. Canada's Aaron Willison grabbed the win and is the current points leader over Jeff Montgomery and Bobby Santos III.
The Wednesday, June 3rd Race for the Million event at Owosso Speedway touts a $30,000 to win top prize; paying $3,000 to make the starting grid. The Series then heads to Berlin Raceway for Twin Features on July 25th before crowning an inaugural champion at Colorado National Speedway on August 22nd.
