Steckly Masters Owosso Speedway for $20K Payday

July 22, 2026 - The Masters of the Pros 200 with the Turn One CRA Pro Series at Owosso Speedway provided a stunning evening of racing and fastest laps, with the Harvick father-son duo in town to join the competition.

The day started quick with drivers throwing down impressive times throughout practice; however, single-car qualifying stole the pre-race show. Fastest lap times were close, with only 0.447 seconds separating the #1 time set by Chase Pinsonneault (14.411) and 23rd (#1 Dennis Wenner - 13.858).

#14 Chase Pinsonneault set a new Owosso Speedway track record with his fastest qualifying lap of 14.411 seconds.

The 2026 Masters of the Pros 200 field took the green flag in front of a full grandstand at Owosso Speedway as dusk began and gave us just over 50 clean laps of racing.

Pinsonneault took the lead early, a few late models retiring cleanly due to mechanical issues.

#23 VanMeter brought the first yellow flag of the race, 52 laps in. He was able to rejoin with the help of his crew. That restart brought an immediate turn 2 incident involving 4 vehicles; the following restart had an immediate turn 1 incident involving 5. The Masters of the Pros was quickly turning into the Masters of Attrition.

After the racers worked through lap 53 & 54, Pinsonneault clung onto to the lead through the mid-race pit sequence, then we saw him slide from the lead and fight for his final position. Talking to him afterward, we learned adjustments done during the race led to some unanticipated results & car handling struggles during the final half of the race.

The #18 of Chase Burda had an interesting race experience, losing most of his front body paneling during the second lap 52 incident, and racing while showing off his engine and front end framing.

Following the mid-race pits, #22s Kyle Steckly took control of the Masters of the Pros 200. Behind him, Rowe, Pinsonneault, VanMeter, Lupton, and the Harvicks were shuffling around and putting on a show for the crowd with some competitive late model racing.

Steckly held his grip on the lead to take the checkered flag, with Rowe, Lupton, Pinsonneault, and Keelan Harvick rounding out the top 5 behind him.

The 2026 Masters of the Pros 200 at Owosso Speedway provided a racing show that was absolutely one not to be missed, with big local and national racing stars, competitive racing, and a premier pavement racing venue all coming together under the Michigan summer sunset.

Racing continues at Owosso Speedway Saturday, July 25 for the Camp Owosso 100 featuring dwarf cars, modifieds, and outlaw super law models and Friday, July 31 at Birch Run Speedway for the Turn One CRA Pro Series VanDoorn Racing Development Dixie 100.
