Strong Pre-Entry Lists Set the Stage for SpeedFest Weekend as Officials Monitor Saturday Weather

CORDELE, GA – With race weekend set to begin, SpeedFest 2026 at Cordele Motor Speedway is shaping up to deliver another standout edition as strong pre-entry lists have been filed across all divisions for the season-opening event, which also doubles up as Super Fest event #1 at the track.
The ASA Southern Super Series Super Late Model and Southern Pro Series Pro Late Model fields feature a deep lineup of championship contenders, race winners, and NASCAR stars, reinforcing SpeedFest’s reputation as one of the premier early-season events in short track racing.
Among the notable entries confirmed for this weekend are NASCAR Cup Series Rookie of the Year Carson Hocevar, along with fellow NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and CRAFTSMAN Truck Series racers, William Sawalich, Dawson Sutton, and Kaden Honeycutt.
Former SpeedFest and World Crown winner Michael Hinde, SpeedFest and Snowball Derby winner Stephen Nasse, Nashville Fairgrounds champion Hunter Wright, rising stars Jake Finch, Keelan Harvick, Carson Brown, George Gorham Jr., Jett Noland, and Southern Pro Series standouts including Casey Roderick, Garrett Gumm, Cody Martell, Palmer Haag, Bubba Winslow, and Rafe Slate have also pre-entered.
The INEX Legends and Bandolero divisions are also on the schedule, highlighted by champions and race winners such as Kyle Bacon, Javier Soto, Carson Youngblood, and Carson Pounds, continuing SpeedFest’s tradition of showcasing both today’s stars and tomorrow’s talent.
Weather Monitoring Update
SpeedFest officials are also continuing to closely monitor Saturday’s weather forecast, which has shown variability in recent updates. Officials are in regular communication with weather services and will continue to evaluate conditions as they evolve.
At this time, no schedule changes have been made. Officials will keep teams, fans, and media informed and will provide updates over the next 18 hours should any adjustments become necessary. Any official announcements will be communicated promptly through Cordele Motor Speedway and SpeedFest channels.
