500 Sprint Car Tour Added to Stars, Stripes & Speed Fest at Toledo Speedway October 3rd

Toledo, OH - Officials with Toledo Speedway announced Wednesday that the 500 Sprint Car Tour event sponsored by Monroe Asphalt will join the action already scheduled for Saturday, October 3, as part of the Stars, Stripes & Speed Fest. The event already featured the USAC Silver Crown Series Championship event and Outlaw Super Late Models.

The announcement comes as a result of the postponement of the June 14th event for the 500 Sprint Car Tour. Since then, two more 500 Sprint Car Tour events also fell due to mother nature; the July 11th event at Jennerstown Speedway and the August 1st event at Owosso Speedway.

The 500 Sprint Car Tour will share the center stage with the USAC Silver Crown Series, much like they have in recent years during the Championship events for both series at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park. With USAC not racing in the finale for the 500 Sprint Car Tour at IRP on October 17th, the pairing at Toledo is a welcome site for fans of the open-wheel doubleheader.

Fans who purchased tickets for the original June 14^th date for the 500 Sprint Car Tour event can use those valid tickers on October 3^rd.
