KINROSS, MI - Brian Bergakker ends a four-year winless streak in Reveal The Hammer Outlaw Super Late Model Series competition with the win in the Inaugural Yooper 100 at Kinross Raceway Park (MI).
The 46-year-old from Middleville, MI, aboard his popular No.12 4J Trucking / Senneker Performance machine, started from the outside of the fourth row, and would methodically work his way towards the front of the field. Soon, he would find himself behind race leader, 2024 Brandyn Ross Memorial Rookie of the Year, Zack Cook.
The battle ensued between the two Lower Peninsula West Michigan standouts before Bergakker made what would be the winning pass on lap 35. From that point, Bergakker would fight off challenges from 2025 Series Championship runner-up, Adam Terry, and then, late in the race, 2023 Series Champion, Mark Shook, to collect the $8,100 payday (Including Special Contingency Monies Earned).
For Bergakker, his last trip to Victory Lane with the Reveal the Hammer Outlaw Super Late Model Series was back on May 14th, 2022, at his Home Track of Berlin Raceway (MI). This Victory Lane trip was the third of his career, to move him into a four-way tie for third all-time in career wins, with Phil Bozell, Chad Finley, and Blake Childers.
Shook settled in for second place in the final rundown with Cook finishing a career-high third and completing the podium. Early race leader Matt Frazier scored a career-high fourth-place effort as Steven Ulman finished off the top five.
14-year-old Bryce Bozell, the 2025 Brandyn Ross Memorial Rookie of the Year, grabbed a career high sixth place effort over Allstar Performance Fast Qualifier, Chase Wilson, who bagged a career high Seventh place finish and earned the Lakeway Truck Centre highest Finishing Canadian Award.
Fellow Canadian, Dustin Jackson, was eighth, a career high in the Series for him, with Buddy Gray, and Jeremy Van Hoek wrapping up the Top 10.
Another 14-year-old, Mason Metzger, in his Reveal the Hammer debut, earned the Elliott's Custom Trailers & Carts Rookie of the Race Award, while Canadian veteran, Robert Hiiemaa, collected the Sweet Manufacturing Hard-Charger Award, and Trever McCoy won the Martin's Trailers & Accessories Hard-Luck Award.
The next event for the Reveal the Hammer Series is on Saturday, June 13th, at Russell's M-40 Speedway (MI), for the Sixth Running of the Smitty Memorial.
