Portage, MI - The 2026 season is on the horizon, and with it are the best laid plans of race car drivers from all across the country. On Monday night's Horsepower Happenings Podcast, 14-year-old Bryce Bozell told the world his intentions to run for another championship in 2026, this time in an Outlaw Super Late Model with the Reveal the Hammer Outlaw Super Late Models.
Bryce, the son of Outlaw Super Late Model standout, Phil Bozell, has been behind the wheel of some style Late Model since 2021 - when he was just 10-years-old. The protégée ran Late Model Sportsman at Corrigan Oil Speedway alongside 12-time Kalamazoo Speedway Champion and grandfather, Andy Bozell. Bryce finished 6th in the final points standings that season.
By 2024, Bryce had moved to Kalamazoo Speedway and changed divisions, racing in an Outlaw Limited Late Model. In his first season, he collected three wins en route to his first career Track Championship. He backed up that performance in 2025 with a two-win-season and a second consecutive Track Championship.
In addition to his championship-winning season in 2025, Bryce was also named the 2025 Rookie of the Year for the Reveal the Hammer Outlaw Super Late Models. In his first stint with the Hammer Tour, Bryce posted a best finish of 7th at Plymouth Speedway in May. That finished paired nicely with his 9th-place finish in the 25th Intimidator 100 at Kalamazoo in June. Bozell posted his third top 10 of the season in August at the Kalamazoo Klash, where he finished 10th.

"We're gonna be running full-time with the Reveal the Hammer Series this year," Bryce casually mentioned in the podcast. "We're going to be trying to run the Outlaw as much as we can," he explained. "We'll be going to Owosso as much as we can, and still be running the Limited weekly."
Bozell will be able to race the Outlaw Limited Late Model weekly at Kalamazoo Speedway on Friday nights, with the Reveal the Hammer schedule falling exclusively on Saturday nights at Berlin Raceway, Kinross Raceway Park, Russell's M-40 Speedway, and New Paris Speedway.
Race fans around the Michigan region know all too well how good Phil Bozell is behind the wheel of an Outlaw Super Late Model. A two-time Kalamazoo Klash Champion (2011 & 2022), 2010 Summer Sizzler winner, and a 2013 Joy Fair Memorial 150 winner, Phil also touts three feature wins with the Reveal the Hammer Series and a 2023 Owosso Speedway Track Championship.
Phil has been close to a Reveal the Hammer title, finishing third in the final points in 2024 and 2025. Last season, Phil Bozell trailed eventual Champion, Tyler Roahrig by just 93 points after the final show at Berlin Raceway in September. In 2024, Phil closed the season just 54 points behind Champion, Steve Needles.
"Racing for points with Bryce is going to be a pretty cool deal," Phil said. "We didn't mean to do it last year, but we ended up doing it anyway. His confidence is going to be super high going into the year, and I hope that at the end of the season we could say we'll be battling it out for the top spot or upper spots in the points."
So, if September rolls around and Reveal the Hammer heads to Berlin Raceway with Phil and Bryce in contention for the Championship, how will it play out? The person third in points might end up as the champion.
"Oh, I'll wreck him any day for a championship," Bryce said when asked what might happen if they were both racing for the title at Berlin. "We race each other just as equally, if not harder than anybody else on the track."
Both Phil and Bryce Bozell will take on the stout lineup of drivers with the Reveal the Hammer Outlaw Super Late Model Series beginning on Saturday, May 2nd at Berlin Raceway before heading to Kinross Raceway Park on Saturday, May 30th. Russell's M-40 Speedway serves as the middle race of the season on Saturday, June 13th, before returning to Berlin Raceway on Saturday, July 4th, New Paris Speedway on August 1st, and the season finale at Berlin on September 12th.
"Truly, the whole thing is just fun for us as a family," Phil explained. "To get to enjoy it was Mason and Bryce, and then seeing their growth and involvement has come a long way. It's just put the fun back in it for me and my dad and the rest of the team."
