Butler Motor Speedway Releases 2026 Schedule; 22 Races, 8 Different Sanctions

Quincy, MI - Officials with Butler Motor Speedway released the full 2026 schedule of events, which features 22 race nights from May to September and eight different sanctioning bodies visiting the 3/8th high-banked oval in southern Michigan. Weekly shows will continue to be highlighted by 410 Winged Sprint Cars, DIRTcar UMP Modifieds, Street Stocks, and 4-Cylinders.


The season begins with a Test and Tune on Saturday, April 25th, with a built-in rain date for Sunday the 26th. The gates open for the first race of the season on Saturday, May 2nd, with a line-up of weekly divisions. Copy and paste for Saturday, May 9th before the first visit from the Great Lakes Traditional Sprints on Saturday, May 16th. 410 Winged Sprints will also be on the card with 4-Cylinders. May closes with a pair of special blockbuster events, starting with the Valvoline American Late Model Iron Man Series on Saturday, May 23rd, giving the 410 Winged Sprints the week off before the Mace Thomas Classic with the High Limit Racing Sprint Cars on May 30th.


Fans enjoy Autograph Night and a weekly line-up on Saturday, June 6th with the Great Lakes Super Sprints joining the action on June 13th. Wisconsin-based, IRA Sprints sanction the 410 action on June 20th, and it's back to non-wing racing on June 27th with the USAC National Sprint Cars.


July 4th, the track will sit quiet, but roars back to life on Tuesday, June 9th for the DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour with UMP Late Models and Modifieds in action. The always-popular fireworks display is scheduled for Saturday, July 11th, with fans getting to enjoy 410 Winged Sprints as the headliner. A helping of homemade cooking awaits fans for July 18th, while the "old timers" blow the dust off for Legends of the Past on July 25th.


Kids Night kicks off August on Saturday the first, with the American Iron Man Late Models returning on August 8th. Great Lakes Super Sprints are back on August 15th, one week before the All-Star Circuit of Champions for the Chuck Wilson Memorial on August 22nd. Street Stocks enjoy a $750 to win special on August 29th.


The season comes to a close with a pair of traditional memorial night shows, including the Terry Wilber on September 5th, and the John Reeve on September 12th. Championship night is scheduled for Saturday, September 19th, marking the final race of the 2026 season. The last event at the facility is Saturday, October 4th for the 3rd Annual Butler Motor Speedway Swap Meet.


The shows on Saturday, May 23rd and August 8th note a special format for the 4-Cylinder in their show alongside the Late Models. Speedway owner/promoter, Tim Wilber explains that the top 14 cars from qualifying will be locked into the show, with the remaining field being aligned straight up for a Last Chance Qualifier that will take the top six to the feature.
