Corrigan Oil Speedway & Springport Mid-Michigan Speedway Align for Modified Series

Mason, MI - After a successful Michigan Cup at the beginning of the month, all indications are that Springport Mid-Michigan Speedway will produce some sort of 2027 schedule. Thursday during the Michigan Speedway Promoters Association (MSPA) Meeting, some details were announced about an alignment between Springport and neighboring Corrigan Oil Speedway regarding Modifieds.
During his speaking portion of the meeting, Corrigan Oil Speedway owner, and former Springport property owner, Jim Leasure revealed that he and current Springport owner, Donnie Ritter, have agreed to a six-race Modified Series between the two tracks.
That statement was the extent of the details provided by either race track on Thursday. As of Saturday morning, neither Leasure or Ritter had additional details to share, but did mention that the goal will be to schedule the races together, or back-to-back, to save teams travel. Corrigan Oil Speedway is expected to schedule their races on Friday nights, and Springport is expected to schedule their races for Saturday night.
Additional details on the series and more schedule details are expected in the coming months.
