Entry List Released For Race For The Million Stop At Owosso

The entry list for race two of the Race For The Million series at Owosso Speedway has been released, with names both familiar to those in Michigan and those who follow the national pavement Sprint Car scene.

Aaron Willison leads the charge into the 3/8ths mile oval holding the Race For The Million points lead after winning the inaugural race at Five Flags Speedway back in April.  The Canadian swept the Must See Racing Sprint Series races at Owosso in 2024.

Coming off his fourth Little 500 win last weekend, Kody Swanson returns to the seat of “Seabiscuit” for race two of the Race For The Million.  He won two of the three Must See races at Owosso in 2025.

The other driver to win at Owosso last season was Bobby Santos III, who is entered for next week’s event.  Davey Hamilton Jr and Jimmy McCune are the other two drivers to have won at Owosso since the repave before the 2023 season, both of which are entered.

Defending 500 Sprint Car Tour champion Dakoda Armstrong will have the wing on for just the second time in his career.  Two-time Little 500 champion Jake Trainor and defending Must See Racing champion Joe Ligouri are entered.

After having Chase Cabre in the seat of the No.26 for the season opener, Aaron Pierce himself will be behind the wheel of the AP Driver Development machine for race two.  One of his drivers from last weekend’s Little 500, Colton Bettis will make the trip north.

Michigan’s own Jason Blonde will be representing the home state at Owosso on the national scene, along with Teddy Alberts and Harold Carter.  Reigning Hot Shoe 100 winner at Owosso, Matt Dimit trades in the Modified for the Sprint Car.

Additionally, it was announced just today that Ryan Newman will be piloting a winged Sprint Car for just the second time ever at Owosso as part of a double duty night with the All-Star Midgets.  Daughter Brooklyn and NASCAR Cup Series star Christopher Bell will both be competing with the Midgets.
