Horsepower Happenings Announces Inaugural All-Star Invitational Saturday, November 14th at Extreme Indoor Kart Racing

Jonesville, MI - Since 2018, the Horsepower Happenings Podcast has worked to shine a light on the Michigan motorsports industry by interviewing race winners, champions, series promoters, track owners, and many other figures in the Michigan racing scene. On Saturday, November 14th, Horsepower Happenings will team up with Extreme Indoor Kart Racing and Entertainment to put some of the best racers from around the region on the track together at the same time for the Inaugural Horsepower Happenings All-Star Invitational Presented by Extreme Indoor Kart Racing and Entertainment.

A mix of current and former track champions and series champions, alongside hand-picked special invites to other major names in Michigan motorsports, will come together on the track for a mash-up of talent. The Horsepower Happenings All-Star Invitational will bring stars together from dirt and pavement, Sprint Cars, Late Models, Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Outlaw Super Late Models, and other divisions. The idea for the Horsepower Happenings All-Star Invitational came during one of the Horsepower Happenings podcast episodes earlier this year.

“While we were in the middle of a show, I realized we need to get all these different talents from different disciplines on the track at the same time,” said Horsepower Happenings Founder, Zach Hiser. “I reached out to AJ Thompson [owner of Extreme Indoor Kart Racing and Entertainment], and he was on board immediately. Kart racing is always fun, but we want to bring a little more to the table to showcase our regional drivers and give them a little boost in the off-season.”

The Horsepower Happenings All-Star Invitational will pay-to-win Heat Races, a Dash for Cash, and it will pay to win the Feature. Plus, it’s not just for the drivers; race fans will have an opportunity to race against their local heroes.

“AJ and I are working on a program to get five fans a shot at racing against the best our region has to offer,” Hiser said. “Without the fans, we don’t have an industry. Who knows, maybe there’s another hidden racer in the crowd who could steal the show.”

On Saturday, November 14th, 20 of the area's best drivers will converge on Extreme Indoor Kart Racing and Entertainment, plus the five lucky fans who were awarded a chance to race. Drivers will turn practice laps to help set their draw order and align their Heat Races before the field is whittled down to a final starting field.

Fans are also invited to attend the event, with seating available to watch the races, an arcade, prize games, skee ball, billiards, air hockey, and more.
