Owosso, MI - For the second year in a row, the battle for an Owosso Speedway track championship in the Late Model Sportsman division will come down to the wire. And, for the second year in a row, the Jack family has the division on lockdown.

In 2025, Brent Jack (father), Hunter Jack (older brother), and Tanner Jack (younger brother) were the top of the Late Model Sportsman division at Owosso Speedway. In 11 events last year, the Jack family took home seven feature wins, with Brent grabbing three wins, and Hunter and Tanner winning a pair each. The Jack family were also the only drivers to win multiple events last season. The only other feature winners were Jon Beach, Aaron Taylor, Andrew Bozell, and Phil Bozell.

This season, the story is slightly different, due in part to schedule challenges presented by Mother Nature. There have only been three Late Model Sportsman events this season at Owosso Speedway, and all three have been controlled by the Jacks. Hunter grabbed the season-opening win on May 30th, coming from the 15th starting spot to get the win. He held off Tanner and Brent in the win.

The following event on June 13th, it was Brent Jack who found victory lane. The elder No.41 came from 8th for the win, with Hunter finishing second, and Tanner getting credit for 15th in a DNF.

Then, on July 11th, Tanner Jack grabbed his win to complete the trifecta. The youngest Jack boy drove from 10th for the win over Jon Beach. Brent finished third, and this time, it was Hunter who was credited with an 11th-place finish and a DNF.

With three races remaining in the 2026 season, Brent Jack holds an 11-point advantage over Hunter and a 12-point lead over Tanner. Cody Hawn sits fourth, 53 points behind, and Zachary Johnson is fifth, 57 points back.

The next event for the Alderman's Late Model Sportsman Is the North/South Sportsman Showdown on Saturday, August 8th. Then, the final two opportunities to grab championship points is Saturday, August 22nd alongside the Ron Hauser Memorial for Outlaw Super Late Models, and Championship Night on Saturday, August 29th.
