Kalamazoo, MI - Kalamazoo Speedway kicks off the 2026 season Friday night with the 27th running of the Intimidator 100. The race, honoring the late Dale Earnhardt, has traditionally been the first Outlaw Super Late Model race of the season, and will be once again after being contested in June in 2025.
The track has been releasing drivers that have entered for the race one at a time on their Facebook page, and it’s looking to be a loaded field for Friday night’s race. Former winners, top stars, and local favorites are expected to do battle for 100 laps.
The list of confirmed entries is led by the return of Tyler Roahrig after a one-year hiatus in the event. The winningest driver in Intimidator 100 history with five wins, Roahrig kicks off his season in search of a sixth win before heading south to Anderson Speedway the next night for the yourbigplans.com 500 Sprint Car Tour opener.
Defending and now two-time Intimidator 100 winner Adam Terry looks to become the fifth driver to go back-to-back in the race. Last year, he joined the likes of Brian Bergakker, Steve Needles, Terry Senneker, Fred Campbell, and Tom Thomas as drivers with two wins in the event.
Speaking of, 2015 and 2023 race winner Brian Bergakker is entered, along with 2018 winner Jeff Ganus and 2011 winner Phil Bozell will be looking for a second win in the race.
Two-time Outlaw Super Late Model track champion and 2023 Reveal The Hammer champion Mark Shook will be in search of his first Intimidator 100 victory. He is joined by east side hotshoe and former Owosso Speedway track champion Blake Childers in his second Intimidator appearance.
Now a two-time Outlaw Limited Late Model track champion, 14-year-old Bryce Bozell looks to join both his father and grandfather on the list of Intimidator 100 winners. Other drivers who have announced their intentions of chasing after the Intimidator 100 win include Monte Tolan, Zack Cook, Kyle Trinklein, Marty Crawford, Matt Frazier, and Lane Head.
The event that later became known as the Intimidator 100 was started in 1999 as the Are All The Nuts And Bolts Tight 100, when the late Randy Sweet won the inaugural race. The name of the race was changed to honor the seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion in 2001.
The race has been run annually since 1999, except for 2020, when COVID-19 canceled the entire season. The list of race winners can be found below.
