Open Wheel Showdown Entry Portal Opened Sunday, Some Divisions Sold Out

Las Vegas, NV - On Sunday, officials with the Open Wheel Showdown opened the Entry Portal for all six divisions scheduled to compete in November. By the end of the day on Sunday, March 1st, Open Wheel Modifieds and Non-Wing Sprint Cars were sold out, Winged Sprint Cars had just 16 available spots, and Super Modifieds only had nine spots remaining.

In an updated post on Facebook Monday morning, Davey Hamilton, Jr announced that the entry cap would expand for Non-Wing Sprint Cars and Open Wheel Modifieds to 50 and 60, respectively. The total event entry cap was increased from 265 total entries for all divisions to 290.

Hamilton, Jr went on to say in the Facebook post that if the cap numbers are reached again, a waiting list will begin. Hamilton, Jr sites limited pit space and logistical concerns for the three-day event as reasons that entry caps are in place.

Entry room remains for Winged Sprint Cars, Legends, Bandoleros, and Super Modifieds.
