Rothbury, MI - One of the many remaining questions about the return of Winston Speedway in Rothbury, MI was answered this week. According to the Speedway via a post on social media, the track has been approved as a sanctioned track for the International Motor Contest Association.

Winston Speedway joins Crystal Motor Speedway, I-96 Speedway, Merritt Speedway, Mt. Pleasant Speedway, Silver Bullet Speedway, and Thunderbird Raceway with the IMCA sanctioned support behind their Modified division. Currently, Mid-Michigan Raceway Park and Tri City Motor Speedway run IMCA-style rules/cars without the National Points.

Thanks to the sanctioning, Winston Speedway can now offer IMCA National Points for their Modified events, unified rules with other tracks across the country, and a known sanctioning body in the region.

Winston Speedway is set to begin the 2026 racing season on Friday, May 1st with the full slate of regular divisions including Super Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Pro Late Models, Street Stocks, Cyber Stocks, Warriors, and Mini-Wedges.
