BELLE RIVER, ON, CA - The 2024 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Rookie of the Year has announced he intends to come back to the Turn One CRA Pro Series in 2026 with eyes on a championship prize. Chase Pinsonneault, the 19-year-old Canadian driver for Carson Hocevar Racing, announced via social media that he will run all scheduled Turn One CRA Pro Series events and all the scheduled ASA STARS National Tour events in 2026.

Pinsonneault took the United States by storm in 2024, wasting no time making his mark on the Pro Late Model industry. His first career win in the States came on Memorial Day weekend at Owosso Speedway, when he took the lead in the final stages of the Big O Classic 100, rolling on to get the win. Pinsonneault's first season was consistent; nine top 10s, and four other top-five finishes to go along with his win at Owosso. In fact, Pinsonneault was mathematically in contention for the championship when Winchester Speedway's Winchester 100 rolled around in October. Blake Rowe took care of business to win the 2024 Title, forcing Pinsonneault to settle for Rookie of the Year.

In 2025, the CHR team focused on their Super Late Model program, sprinkling in select shows with the Pro Late Model. The highlight of the summer was in June during the Diversified Excavating 125 at Flat Rock Speedway. The closest track to Pinsonneault's home town in Canada, the stands were packed with No.14 supporters, and Pinsonneault delivered. Slicing through lapped traffic and surviving late race restarts, local fans celebrated as their driver pulled into victory lane. In the Pro Car, Pinsonneualt added four other top-five finishes, and six more top 10s, including another win at Owosso Speedway during the Owosso Nationals 150.

Pinsonneault's time in the Super Late Model wasn't quite as successful as far as the stat lines are concerned. The team pulled together three top 10 finishes with the ASA STARS National Tour at Newport Speedway (8th), Slinger Speedway (6th), and Anderson Speedway (6th). They added two more 8th place finishes with the Southern Super Series at Montgomery Motor Speedway and Five Flags Speedway.

"We knew it was our plan to come back to ASA full-time this year," Pinsonneault said. "We weren't sure where [Turn One CRA] Pro Series was going to go, and the way the schedules shook out, it made sense to do both. We love what CRA is doing with the Turn One Series, and we're very happy that the schedules aligned."

Returning to the CRA Pro Series, two years removed from his Rookie of the Year campaign, it seemed like a foregone conclusion that the US 131 Motorsports Park No.14 would be chasing a championship.

"I think as an oversight, yes," Pinsonneault said on chasing a title. "We all talked about it as a team, and we're chasing trophies more than anything. We were in contention for wins a lot last year and didn't pull it off. If we have to wins and good finishes early, a championship might come into play later in the year."

As for his efforts with the STARS National Tour, Pinsonneault says that 2025 made them a better program.

"Last year was a lot to build on, for sure," Pinsonneault continued. "We learned a lot on what we need to do, and what not to do. We struggled for the early half of the year and found our footing for the back half. We should be contending for top fives," he said of his goals. "Even though we battled a little bit of attrition, we had opportunities to run inside the top five last year."

Pinsonneault's return to the race car comes on Tuesday, February 10th at the Clyde Hart Memorial with the ASA STARS National Tour from New Smyrna Speedway. He'll be back in action with the STARS Tour on Saturday, March 14th from 5 Flags Speedway before his first start of the season with the Turn One CRA Pro Series on Saturday, April 18th at Toledo Speedway.
