Dylan Stovall’s rise in the Super Late Model ranks in Michigan continued in 2026, culminating in a NASCAR championship.

The Wayland, MI driver won the NASCAR Local Racing Series Michigan state championship, thanks to a season of consistency across the ten NASCAR national points-paying races held at Berlin Raceway during the year.  While he didn’t win a points race, he had six top-five finishes while only finishing outside the top-ten once.  He finished fifth in the final track points standings.

While he didn’t win a points-paying race, Stovall did bag $20,000 in the Big Ass Lakes 75 at Berlin in August, becoming the Cleetus McFarland Late Model Series’ inaugural winner and beating out Bubba Pollard in the process.  He also finished third in the Money In The Bank 150 back in June.

Stovall ended the season 92nd in the national standings, 18 ahead of 2025 Berlin Raceway and Michigan state champion Austin Hull.  2026 Berlin Raceway track champion Brian Campbell was fourth in the state standings, while Andrew Scheid and Terry Senneker finished third and fifth, respectively.

It was a Berlin Raceway sweep of the top ten in the NASCAR Local Racing Series Michigan standings, thanks in part to a tough year with weather across the Mitten at Birch Run Speedway.  Nick Clemens and Modified track champion David McManus tied for 11th as the top Birch Run regular in the standings, with Clemens claiming the tiebreaker by virtue of his two wins compared to McManus’s one.

Stovall and all the NASCAR Local Racing Series champions will be celebrated on Friday, November 20 at the NASCAR Local Racing Series awards banquet in Charlotte, NC.
