Mount Clemens, MI - A name well known for Template Late Model racing in the Great Lakes Region is returning to the Turn One CRA Pro Series in 2026. Jimmy Tucker announced on the Horsepower Happenings Podcast earlier this month that he’ll be competing full-time with the CRA Pro Series, with eyes turned once again to his first career win with the series.

Tucker made his first start with the Turn One Series back in 2018 at one of his home tracks, Auto City Speedway. Since then, Tucker has made 30 starts with the Series and posted 11 top ten finishes and three top fives. As Tucker begins his ninth season of Pro Late Model racing, he’s focused on cracking into victory lane for the first time - even more so after finishing second at Auto City last season.

“It’s the most competitive series that we have here in the Midwest,” Tucker told the Podcast when asked about being held out of victory lane. “We’ve had some runs that we can really say, ‘Hey, that’s good’. You know, I’d love to check that off the bucket list.”

The 2026 schedule plays into Tucker’s hopes of a trip to victory lane as well. As a points-paying race, Jennerstown Speedway is on the schedule in 2026, a place where Tucker posted a 4th-place finish back in 2020. Tucker has also had success at Berlin Raceway, which is back on the CRA Pro Series in September. Specifically, though, Tucker is looking forward to getting to his home tracks, Flat Rock Speedway, and Birch Run Speedway.

“Flat Rock is the easy answer,” Tucker said when asked where he thought he’d contend for a win. “But, I’m going to say Birch Run. We’ve always had good speed there, I love that place. It’s right here in our backyard, it’s a racy place, and I think we’ve got something for them.”

The 2026 Turn One CRA Pro Series season begins on Saturday, April 18th at Toledo Speedway, a place that Tucker didn’t get to turn a single lap at last year after blowing an engine in the opening round of practice.
